Variations of a Vake-course

Practice has shown that every VaKE course is unique and organic depending on the dilemma story, the group-dynamics, the educational aims etc. Specific characteristics or needs of the learning group may make an adaption of the prototypical VaKE course necessary. The VaKE approach allows this high flexibility in application.

Several variations of the prototypical course have been developed:

  • VaKE-0 This is our basic course with focus on preperation of useful skills and competences
  • VaKE+ for heterogenious achievment groups in a school class and with a focus on viability checks
  • VaKE-dis for differentiation within learning groups, individualization on individual learners and specification of in-depth knowledge. It has 4 additional steps for individual reflections, votes before discussions, and specified to group dynamics. Here you can find a PDF of the VaKEdis
  • VaKE-pr for primary school class
  • VaKE-integration for courses for asylum seekers
  • VaKE-special with a focus on special knowledge (e.g., research methodology on University level)
  • Adaptations for kindergarten and primary school
