The International Association of Value and Knowledge Education together with European and Transcaucasian universities will implement the EU-funded project Promoting Values Education in South Caucasus Higher Education Institutions/PROVE ([ERASMUS-EDU-2024-CBHE-STRAND2. 101178922).

The project aims to improve Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in South-Caucasian countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia by introducing Peace Education courses based on Values and Knowledge Education (VaKE). This will involve creating new courses or modifying existing ones, impacting schools and communities, and supporting initiatives to promote peace in the region. VaKE is a constructivist, learner-centered teaching-learning concept that combines values education with knowledge acquisition. The project will develop courses for pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, and community actions. These activities will be supported by European partners and the international Association for VaKE (AVaKE), ensuring sustainability beyond the project’s end.The members of the project consortium are 7 universities of Transcaucasia, 1 university of Austria, 1 university of Greece and Association of VaKE. The coordinator of the project is Telavi State University (Eastern Georgia).
